The first carload of Spartanburg Coun ty peaches left Monday for the market .... Don L. West, man aging .editor of The Spartanburg Herald, missing since Friday, was found Monday walking in a daze on North Church Street. He was taken to the hospital. A 16-year old ninth grade pupil in Bing inhamton, N. Y., was suspended Monday because he refused to shave off his mustache . . . The mercury climbed to 97 in Spar tanburg Monday and 94 in Tryon, but cool rains last night brought temperature down again. . . (Wge Junius G. Adams of Ashe ™e, brother of Mrs. W. F. Bryan of Tryon, was awarded an honor ary degree from N. C. State Col lege this week in * recognition of his leadership in improving the agriculture of North Carolina. He was a pioneer in the development of cattle raising and the dairy industry, where the Asheville Citi zen says, ‘“He always put the em phasis on quality, North Carolina’s new eminence in this field might not have been achieved without his example” . . .
